To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all PCI slots have either an
expansion slot cover or an expansion board installed.
2. Power down the server.
3. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4. Do one of the following:
Extend the server from the rack .
Remove the server from the rack .
5. Remove the access panel .
CAUTION: Do not operate the server for long periods with the access panel open or removed. Operating the server CAUTION:
in this manner results in improper airflow and improper cooling that can lead to thermal damage.
6. Remove the primaryPCIe riser cage.
7. Remove the DSC-25 card from the slot.
