6. Supply pump learning (clear the learning value)
IMPORTANT
• Must be performed after replacing the supply pump, SCV or engine ECU.
• Clear the learning completion flag in accordance with the requests from the tool. (Initialize)
Service A learning completion message comes from the tool.
specification In addition, when the "Pump learning condition" is checked with the monitor function, the status is 2 or 3.
NOTE
• When the diagnosis related pressure is detected, or when the actual rail pressure can not follow the target
pressure properly, perform pump learning and see what happens. (As there are some cases that can not
complete the relearning (status 2) from status 3.)
• This major symptom is extreme air in fuel line or filter clogged etc., and it normally occurred when
operating with the extreme vacuum pressure. Perform pump learning particularly when the replacement
of the filter (too much dirt) has not performed or the engine stalls by air in fuel line etc.
(The conditions of pump learning)
• Condition of the pump learning is; After the engine has warmed up (after the thermostat is opened) and the
machine is stopped + the neutral switch is ON (neutral status) + the engine is idling (accelerator open position
0 %).
7. HMI for PCD (Human Machine Interface for PM Control Diagnosis)
• As a function of DiagMaster related to PCD, HMI for PCD which can confirm PCD history etc. was added.
• PCD is the system to monitor and record tampering of PM device such as DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter).
• This is the mandatory of EU stage V and China stage IV emission regulation.
• When PCD is detected, the engine of China Stage IV emission regulation will be output limited.
• It is necessary to click the reset button when you recover from output limitation.
• Notify the driver by PCD lamp informing (there is no output restriction etc).
• After the DTC for PCD has occurred, the time until fixing is recorded in the engine ECU.
• If it is not fixed within 20 hours, it is counted as violation.
• The violation history is recorded in the engine ECU. (This record cannot be reset)
