Table 2-3
Initial Alignments
Alignment Description
Low Band Preamp Path System Gain Algorithm
Aligns low band (3 Hz to 3.6 GHz path) with
preamp ON.
Input attenuator set to 20 dB.
(Options P03, P08, P13, P26, P43, P44, P50)
Low Band Elec Atten Path System Gain
Algorithm
Aligns low band with electronic attenuator in
the signal path and set to 0 dB.
(Option EA3)
Preselector Two Point Tuning Algorithm
Aligns the YTF preselector centering near the
maximum and minimum frequency points of the
YTF.
Uses the high band preamp noise as stimulus
signal.
High Band Nominal Path System Gain
Algorithm
Low Noise Path System Gain Algorithm
Measures change in signal level with low noise
path switched ON and OFF, then computes
system gain.
(Option LNP)
High Band Preamp Path System Gain
Algorithm
Measures change in signal level with high band
preamp turned ON and OFF.
Input attenuator set to 30 dB.
(Options P08, P13, P26, P43, P44, P50)
High Band Preselector Bypass Path System
Gain Algorithm
A12 YTF Preselector is bypassed and amplitude
of 4800 MHz calibrator measured. System gain
is then computed. (Option MPB)
