LAN Properties
Type Meaning
Checkbox option Specifies whether the system is part of the LAN.
User Defined Field Enables the system to make and receive IP calls.
Pull Down menu Specifies how the system obtains an IP address.
• Obtain IP Address Automatically — Select if the system gets
an IP address from the DHCP server on the LAN.
• Enter IP Address Manually — Select if the IP address will
not be assigned automatically.
Pull Down menu If the system obtains its IP address automatically, this area
displays the IP address currently assigned to the system.
If you selected Enter IP Address Manually, enter the IP address
here.
User Defined Field Displays the DNS servers currently assigned to the system.
or Auto Populated
with DHCP
If the system does not automatically obtain a DNS server
address, enter up to four DNS servers here.
User Defined Field Displays the gateway currently assigned to the system.
or Auto Populated

If the system does not automatically obtain a gateway IP
address, enter one here.
User Defined Field Displays the subnet mask currently assigned to the system.
