Chapter 3 Settings
• If the correction value to use does not lie in the
range of -40 to 40, adjust the printing head height
and repeat this process from step 2.
Print direction
Forms a straight line at the fourth
position from 0 in the positive
direction. In this case, the dot
position correction value is 4.0.
Do the same to enter a correction value for

pattern 2, and then press the [ENTER] key.

Heater

The platen incorporates a preheater, print heater, and
post-heater.
Besides setting the temperature for each, you can set the
time until the heater turns off after printing.
Type of heater
Preheater
Preheats the media before printing to
suppress rapid temperature change.
Print heater
Helps prevent ink bleeding.
Post-heater
Allows ink to dry after printing.
With the screen in local mode, select

[MENU] > [SETUP], and then press the
[ENTER] key.
• SETUP options are displayed.
Select a SETUP option from 1 to 4 and

press the [ENTER] key.
• The SETUP menu is displayed.
Select [HEATER] and press the [ENTER]

key.
Enter the heater temperatures, then press

the [ENTER] key.
• Heater selection: Select with [  ] / [  ]
• Temperature setting: Set with [  ] / [  ]
• To give priority to RIP settings, use "Host" as the
setting value.
Select [OFF TIME] and press the [ENTER]

key.
Set the time until the heater turns off after

printing and press the [ENTER] key.
• To fully deactivate heating, press [FUNC3] (OFF)
in step 3. You can also increase all heating tem-
peratures by 10°C by pressing [FUNC1].
• Heaters automatically return to the specified tem-
perature if keys are pressed or data is received
before the off-time set in step 6 elapses.

With the screen in local mode, select

Select a SETUP option from 1 to 4 and

• The SETUP menu is displayed.
Select [LOGICAL SEEK] and press the

[ENTER] key.
Select a setting value and press the

[ENTER] key.
• Setting value: HOST / ON / OFF

Drying time

These setting items control ink drying time.
• SCAN: Set the ink drying time per scan. (In bidirectional
printing, the machine pauses for the time set
after each outward and return scan.)
• PRINT END: Set the ink drying time after printing is fin-
ished.
• "SCAN" as set on machine is identified as
"Pause Time per Scan" in RasterLink.
• The print end setting cannot be set on the Ras-
terLink side. Setting the machine setting to
"Host" will print with "Print End=0 min."
