Off

Turning the power on

The machine has two power switches.
[END/POWER] key:
Normally, use this key to turn the power on or off.
Main power switch:
On the side of the machine.
• Do not turn off the main power supply. Turning
off the main power supply will disable the auto-
matic maintenance function (including nozzle
clogging prevention function and ink discharge
channel cleaning function). This increases the
risk of ejection failures (such as nozzle clogging
or deflection).
Turn the main power switch on.

• The firmware version is displayed when the power
is turned on, and initial operations are performed.
[END/POWER]

Press the [END/POWER] key to turn on

power.
• The machine enters local mode.
Turn on the connected computer.

• Make sure the maintenance cover is closed
before turning the machine on.

Turning the power off

After using the machine, press the [END/POWER] key
on the front to turn it off.
Before turning the machine off, check the following:
• If the machine is receiving RIP data from the computer,
or if any data has not been printed yet
• If the carriage has returned to the capping station
• If any errors have occurred (
messages])
Turn off the connected computer.

Turning off the main power switch will prevent
automatic maintenance from working, which may
result in nozzle clogging.
