Loading roll media

Load roll media on the roll media hanger on the rear of
the machine.
Move the roll holder located at the rear of

the machine toward the middle of the
machine.
• Before moving the holder, loosen the roll holder
retaining screw.

Confirm that the clamp lever is lowered.

Move the roll holder to the roll loading

position.
• Make sure the roll stopper is not caught between
the roll stopper arm and the machine.
Roll holder side (rear of machine)
• Two internal diameters of paper cores are
supported for roll media: 2 and 3 inches.
• Set the roll holder reference line within the area
indicated by the arrows as shown below.

If the roll holder is set out of this range, media tension will not be
applied when the media is pulled out by hand.
Tighten the roll holder retaining screws.

• Check steps 2–3 again.
Push the core of the roll media onto the left

side of the roll holder.
• Push the roll media fully onto the roll holder until it
is held securely.
Loosen the screw on the right end of the

roll holder and push the holder into the
core of the roll media.
