Setting
This moves the carriage to allow station and print head maintenance.
-
Cleans around the station, including the cap and wiper.
P.4-4 [Cleaning the wiper and cap]
P.4-16 [Replacing the CP pad set]
P.4-16 [Replacing pinch rollers]
P.4-18 [Replacing cutter blades]
-
Cleans around the print head.
P.4-5 [Cleaning under the carriage]
P.4-9 [Cleaning media sensors]
1–99 min.
Washes the print head nozzle surface with maintenance liquid to
resolve ejection failure (such as nozzle clogging or deflection).
P.4-7 [Cleaning head nozzles]
-
Washes the suction pump tube (below the cap).
P.4-7 [Cleaning the waste ink draining channel]
1–99 min.
Perform this step if the machine will not be used for extended periods.
Washes nozzles and drainage channels to keep the machine
operating smoothly.
P.4-8 [Preparing the machine if it will not be used over extended
periods]
-
Use this function when replacing the wiper. Replacing the wiper resets
the wiper usage counter.
P.4-15 [Replacing wipers]
-
The cleaning route is filled with maintenance liquid to prevent ink
coagulation in this path.
Allows other nozzles to be used for printing if maintenance actions
like nozzle washing fail to resolve ejection failures (e.g., nozzle
clogging or deflection).
P.4-12 [Nozzle recovery function]
-
Prints a pattern for checking and registering nozzle conditions.
-
Registers the nozzle without printing a pattern.
-
Initializes the details set.
Sets various maintenance actions to be performed automatically. Set
the interval between individual maintenance actions.
P.4-13 [Auto Maintenance Functions]
0.5–1.0 hr.
Set the interval between executing refresh.
-
Set the interval for waste ink draining channel cleaning/head nozzle
cleaning and the time for leaving during head nozzle cleaning.
Setting a leaving time will leave the nozzle surface immersed in the
maintenance liquid before cleaning. This helps to prevent nozzle
clogging.
-
Set the interval between cleaning.
Normal / Soft /
Set the type of cleaning.
Hard
-
Supplies ink to alleviate nozzle clogging.
P.4-14 [Filling with ink]
-
Improves nozzle dropout and ejection failure of white ink.
-
Resets or corrects the waste ink tank usage count.
