Power supplies and the network interface unit (NIU) are located on the rear chassis
panel, which looks like this:
Each of these two system components are described in subsequent sections of this
chapter.
The Acme Packet 4500's network interface unit (NIU) is located on the right side of
the chassis's rear. The single, hot-pluggable NIU contains all media and
management interfaces. Media interfaces are located on the right side of the card,
while management interfaces are located on the left side of the card. A 4-port GigE
Copper (RJ45) NIU is shown below.
