Cryogenic Systems Operation
Actions and Corrections
Cause:
Error code from turbo pump
Action:
Vacuum Pumping > Idle
All other states - Safe
Check:
If there is an unusual amount of condensed gas during Warming, the
turbo pump may overheat. This may occur if the vacuum is questionable
or if the system has been cold for extended periods of time.
If Vacuum Pumping can not occur after system has reached room
temperature, the turbo pump needs service. Contact Agilent Service.
Cause:
Pressure transducers < 15 psi
Action:
Safe
Check:
Usually caused by disconnection of Agilent Cold Probe from CryoBay
before system reached Idle state.
Cause:
Inlet or exhaust < -20 psi or > 400 psi
Action:
Warning
Check:
Contact Agilent Service.
Cause:
The probe temperature is out of range (high or low).
Action:
Vacuum Pumping -> Idle
All other states - Warming
Check:
Probe temperature control cable connection
Cause:
Cryocon Com port error
Action:
Five minutes there is no warning, the fault happens five minutes after
cause. Vacuum pumping - return to idle. Other - Safe
Check:
Contact Agilent Service.
Cause:
Temperature regulation failure or loss of communication with
temperature controller
Action:
Warning
