Remove the temperature control cable from the Agilent
e
Cold Probe. This is a locking connector: when
removing the cable, pull on the connector body.
Release the vibration damping pier clamps. Remove
f
the top of the pier.
g
Unscrew cryogenic transfer line coupling nut.
h
Separate the CryoBay cryogenic transfer line from the
Agilent Cold Probe.
A portion of the He working gas will be vented during
i
cryogenic transfer line separation. This is normal.
Minimize bending of the flexible cryogenic transfer
line as this may cause internal damage to the line.
Verify that the plastic bushing and rippled plastic
j
sleeve are on the stinger. Look inside the arm of the
Agilent Cold Probe, if the bushing is missing from the
stinger, place the bushing back on the stinger. If the
plastic sleeve has been left behind, it is acceptable to
leave it in the probe. Do not attempt to extract the
plastic sleeve as it is easy to damage it.
Immediately cap off the cryogenic couplers, both on
k
the CryoBay cryogenic transfer arm and the Agilent
Cold Probe.
Disconnect the VT gas supply from the heater knob
7
assembly.
Remove the heater knob assembly, if necessary, due to
8
clearance issues under the magnet.
Open the side- arm support assembly clamp:
9
Loosen the clamp knob.
a
Unlatch the clamp knob.
b
Loosen the side- arm support adjustment knobs, if
c
necessary, to move the side- arm support away from
the probe.
Loosen the cradle- nut thumb screw one turn on
10
adjustment- nut style.
