Changing cooling-water filters

Cryogenic Systems Operation
The CCC cold head maintenance is performed on an
as- needed basis (approximately one year of operation). If
cooling faults are occurring, try warming and re- cooling the
system. If the faults are not resolved, contact Agilent for
maintenance of the CCC. See
The water for the compressor cooling MUST meet the specifications
given in the Cryogenic System Site Requirements manual
01-999350-00. The following is a subset of the requirements.
• Outlet flow rate 7 - 10 L/min (1.85 - 2.6 gal/min)
• Inlet Temperature +4
• Inlet Pressure 29 - 100 PSIG (2.0 - 6.9 bar)
Filters are recommended to prevent buildup of particulate
matter in the compressor. The following layout of dual water
filters and valves is recommended, as seen in
allow easy replacement of filters without interrupting
cryogenic operation. The instructions assume that filter set 2
is in use initially.
