Safety shutdown of the system

Cryogenic Systems Operation
Pressing the OFF button on the CryoBay does NOT turn off all
voltage sources in the CryoBay. All power sources must be
disabled before performing any maintenance inside of the
CryoBay.
• CryoBay UPS Battery (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
The CryoBay UPS battery will continue to supply power
to the CryoBay components until the battery runs out.
• CCC Cold Head (GM / Compressor)
The compressor supplies power to the CCC cold head via
the cold head control cable.
Cryogenic system is in the Idle state.

Press the UPS OFF switch, located on the panel opposite

the CryoBay transfer arm and labeled Main Power
Switch.
Disconnect the UPS battery.

Remove the right- side CryoBay panel (as viewed from
a
the CryoBay transfer arm). The UPS is located directly
behind the CryoBay Main Power Switch panel.
Disconnect the UPS battery cable from the battery.

The battery is located on the back of the UPS, on the
lower left of the Labeled Battery Connector.
