Cryogenic Systems Operation
Actions and Corrections
Cause:
Turbo does not reach full speed during Warming
Action:
Safe
Check:
Contact Agilent Service.
Cause:
Turbo pump did not reach full speed during maintenance operation
(while system is in Operating state)
Action:
Warning
Check:
Turbo pump needs service. Contact Agilent Service. Service may be done
while system is in the Operating state.
Cause:
Cooling took too long (> 8 hrs)
Action:
Warming
Check:
Probe connection to cryogenic transfer arm. Check that transfer arm
coupling nut is tight.
Verify that the plastic bushing is present and correctly installed, as seen
in
Figure 4
on page 19.
Pneumatic gas supply to CryoBay is at 80 - 100 psi (5.5 - 7.5 bar,
552 - 689 kPa). See
page 101.
Try warming system and re-starting.
CCC may require maintenance. Contact Agilent Service.
Cause:
Warming sequence takes too long
Action:
Warning
Normal operation is still possible. However, accelerated warm up of the
CCC will not occur.
Check:
CCC may require maintenance. Contact Agilent Service.
Cause:
Compressor pressure alarm (helium pressure too low)
Action:
Vacuum Pumping -> Idle
All other states - Warning. Usually, other faults will occur (such as,
105 Temperature Fault).
Check:
Ensure the CryoBay cryogenic transfer arm O-ring seal is well seated
(source of leak).
