1-5. Cassette Ejection in the Case of
Tape Slack
When a tape is slacked in DRIVE, take out the cassette
tape following the procedure written below.
At this time, be careful not to damage the tape.
1. Turn the power OFF and remove the power cord.
2. Remove the three screws and remove the upper lid.
(Refer to Section 1-1-1.)
3. Remove the plate MD assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-1-1.)
4. Remove the four screws (B3 x 6) and remove the front
panel. (Refer to Section 1-1-1.)
5. Make slack in the tape by rotating the rotation datec-
tion pulley of the threading motor block with fingers
for about a half turn in the direction of the arrow.
6. Insert a skewer (or the equivalent) from the longitudi-
nal hole on the front panel, turn the T reel table
clockwise, and wind the tape.

7. Repeat the steps 5 and 6 until the unit is put into the

Be sure to hang a skewer on the hook of the T reel table
