Preparing the Build Tray for Printing on Fabric

For J850 3DFashion printers, before printing on fabric, you need to place the
fabric on build tray, secure it with the frame, and make sure that it is stretched
properly across the tray.
To prepare the fabric on the tray:
1. Prepare—
2. Make sure that the fabric is not wrinkled. If necessary, iron it.
3. Remove the frame from the build tray. Lift it using the magnet release
4. Place the piece of fabric on the tray and make sure that there is

❒ a square piece of fabric with the following dimensions:
• Size: 510 x 410 mm
• Thickness: 0.5–2 mm
❒ a plastic ruler

approximately 1 cm of excess material on all sides of the tray.
Note: If you are printing on mesh, place a sheet of baking paper with the
same dimensions as the mesh on the tray and place the mesh on top of it.
Do not use wax paper. The wax melts during printing and can damage the
print.
