Perform the following steps to administer the ERP system to run reports:
1. Decide which billing and report executables will be run on the
APS machine(s) and which executables will be run on the ERP.
The same functional report must not run on both types of
machines.
2. On the APS machine(s), all daily reports (for standard reports
delivered with APS/ERP, this currently includes all reports except
cmdreport7_gen) must no longer be run out of cron.
To remove reports from cron, edit the file ~issg/main/issg_
lib/libcron/issg_DayTask and comment out all daily report
executables. Leave the nondaily reports (cmdreport7_gen in issg_
MonthTask_Day2) as they are so that they may continue to run on
the APS machine(s) under the control of cron. (ERP processing
runs daily and has no cron-like notion of a non-daily report).
For a multiple-APS configuration where you want to run all daily
reports on the ERP, the secondary APS should comment out all
reports - both daily (from issg_DayTask) and nondaily (from
issg_MonthTask_Day2) because the daily reports will be run on
the ERP and the nondaily reports will be run on the primary APS.
If a report executable is to remain executing on the APS, the
executable must be manually placed into the directory
/export/home0/erp/bin on the APS on which the report will be
run. In most if not all cases, the report executables will be found
under ~issg/issg_main/issg_lib. In the case of a customer having
their own custom report (see "Custom Reports" section) the
executable may reside elsewhere. The report output will go to the
same location that it did before ERP 1.0 was loaded, namely the
