In order to reach the SS7 gateway, APS needs the following information:
n
Link set number
n
STP (signal transfer point) point code
n
Port setting of the NewNet card
n
Route setting information
These data are configured and defined in the aps.cfg SS7 configuration
file.
Under the System menu, SS7 Gateway item, there are two options:
n
SS7 Gateway Start and Stop
n
SS7 Load Config File
Before APS can connect to the SS7 gateway, it must have the above
network information as well as the underlying SS7 stack.
