xxx is a file system with a name similar to the example for the root file
system below:

Check /var/sys_backup.log for exact error message.
Effect
No backup made.
Description
Backup operation has failed for an unknown reason
Resolution
1. Look at /var/sys_backup.log for error messages. Take action
based on that information.
2. Log in as root and try again.
3. Replace the tape drive.
4. If the problem persists, escalate this problem to the next level of
support.
