Cannot Start Application Manager

Symptom

APS is running but applications on it cannot start
n
Outside agents will be able to connect to the APS, but will
not be able to run an application
n
Calls will not go through the application
Basis
There are two reasons APS cannot start the application manager.
n
APS creates the file issg_appmgr_key in the directory
/export/home0/issg/issg_main/issg_lib/libappmgr every time the
APS starts the application manager. If the issg_appmgr_key file
is created incorrectly or is corrupted in some way, the application
manager will not start properly.
n
Informix is loaded but not running. Informix should load and
execute a part of a normal start up but did not do so.
Solution
If there is a problem with the file issg_appmgr_key:
1. From the operating system prompt, delete the file issg_appmgr_
key so that it may be written correctly again at startup.
Enter
cd /export/home0/issg/issg_main/issg_lib/libappmgr
rm issg_appmgr_key
2. Try to start the application manager again.

4. If these steps do not correct the problem, escalate this problem to
the next level of support.
