Shutting Down the APS Sun System

7. Wait 15 seconds for the fans and drives to spin down.
8. Press the power button again to restore power.
Informix and APS restart automatically.
''Starting the APS Sun System'' on page 176 describes what
happens at boot up.
9. From the APS main menu, examine the status log file. Choose
View
Status Log
Examine the log for the last errors that occurred before the
system stopped working.
Use this procedure to gracefully shut down the APS Sun system.
1. Stop all applications and scripts manually. See
''Stopping a Script Group or Application'' on page 122,
''Stopping a Single Script'' on page 124.
This may take 3 to 4 minutes.
2. Login as root and enter
cd /
shutdown -y -i0 -g0
3. At the OK prompt, power off the system with the button on the
back panel.
4. See ''Starting the APS Sun System'' on page 176 to bring the
system up.
