Replacing the X.25 Card
Replacing the TCP/IP Card

Sun support personnel use this procedure to change the X.25 link card in
fifteen minutes. They will need a screwdriver and the correct Sun
hardware manuals to remove the card.
There are no jumpers or switches to set on the X.25 card.
1. Follow the general procedures to replace cards as described in
''General Notes about Replacing Cards'' on page 207.
2. After powering up the Sun system, use to the X.25 tool to check
the status of the X.25 link.
3. Log in as super user. Enter su
and enter the correct password.
4. Enter x25tool&
5. Choose
Network
X.25 Status
The link should show as Normal/Connected.
6. Place a test call through this link. See ''Place a Test Call Over the
X.25 Link'' on page 188.
Use this procedure to replace the TCP/IP card in an ERP Ultra 5
workstation. You will need a screwdriver and the correct Sun hardware
manuals to remove the card.
There are no jumpers or switches to set on the TCP/IP card.
1. Take ESD precautions.
2. Take the new TCP/IP card our of its package and examine it for
damage.
3. Power off the ERP. See ''Shutting Down the ERP Sun System''
on page 180.
4. Use the Sun documentation to remove the old card and insert the
new one in the same slot.
