Regular Backup of APS

The APS interface provides a menu item that lets you perform a manual
backup of APS data at any time.
Use the backup utility to backup all APS data to tape. Other data on the
disks will not be backed up. This procedure can be done in addition to the
regular cron backup.
1. From the APS main menu choose
Utility
Wizard Backup
The Directory Backup window shown in Figure 49 displays.
Figure 49. Directory Backup Window
By default APS data is backed up as a wiz_backup tar (tape
archive) file.
By default APS files and data are backed up to a tape drive
mounted to the drive /dev/rmt/0. If you want another target, type
the target location in the window.
2. Click Run to start the backup.
Or
Click Cancel to close the window.
The APS backup service is based on SunOS cron job services. A cron job
backs up APS data every night at 11:00 pm. Make sure a tape is in the
drive.
