Installing and Administering ERP
Phase I Installation Procedures

Installation of the ERP is performed in three parts:
n
Phase I
Loads an installation tape (made in the Lucent Lab from a
completely configured ERP) on to the ERP
n
Phase II
Scripts run on the ERP and APS(s) to set up dynamic information
such as IP addresses and to propagate software to appropriate
locations on the ERP and APSs.
n
Phase III
Manual procedures including configuration file setup and report
administration
The ERP tape you are about to load contains the following packages:
n
Solaris 2.6
n
Informix 7.30.UC6-1
n
Informix ESQL/C 9.16.UC1
n
Sun Workshop Compiler C/C++ 4.2
n
The ERP environment on both the ERP and APS systems
Have the following items and information available to complete the
installation procedure.
You must have the ERP platform tape and Solaris CD-ROM available. If
you do not have the other information, enter place-holder data when you
are prompted for such things as IP address and licensing information.
Apply the correct data when they become available.
n
The appropriate version of the ERP 2.0 tape
n
The appropriate version of the Solaris install bootable CD-ROM,
version 2.6 of 5/98
n
The machine names of the ERP and APS(s) systems
n
The IP addresses of the ERP and APS(s) systems
