HANDLE QUICK COUPLER

Set the switch (1) to (B) position, and keep pressing the
button (2) on the L.H. lever to enable the quick coupler.
Depending on the design of the quick coupler, actuate one
of the hydraulic functions (bucket, boom, arm, or swing) of
the machine in order to increase the pressure in the hy-
draulic system. Enable the swing lock switch when the
swing function is to be used. For details, see "SWING
LOCK SWITCH (3-90)".
The quick coupler moves to RELEASE position.

Determine the position of the quick coupler at the engag-
ing portion on the bucket or attachment by performing the
necessary operation with bucket cylinder, arm, and boom. For details, follow the instructions of the manu-
facturer of the quick coupler.
5.
Release the button (2).
The quick coupler is locked on the bucket or attachment. Increase the system pressure by operating one of
the control levers of the machine if necessary.
6.
Return the switch (1) to OFF position (A).
The lamp goes out, and the buzzer stops sounding.
7.
Observe the instructions in "METHOD FOR REMOVING AND INSTALLING ATTACHMENT (6-16)" if the
bucket or attachment needs to be connected to the hydraulic system of the machine.
