TROUBLES AND ACTIONS
Problem
Swing speed is slow.
The swing cannot be stopped. (*1)
Hybrid system stop caution lamp
lights up.
Hybrid caution lamp lights up.
(No action level is displayed.)
Hybrid temperature caution lamp
lights up.
The hybrid caution lamp lights up,
and the action levels "L04" to "L02"
light up. (*2)

If any problem is found in hybrid devices during the swing operation, the hybrid caution lamp and action levels
"L04" to "L02" are displayed on the machine monitor, and the swing parking brake is automatically applied to
stop the swing. In case of the following phenomenon, press the hybrid system stop switch and stop swinging;
the upper structure does not stop swinging even if the lever is returned to the neutral position or it starts swing-
ing even if nothing is operated. After the swing stops, be sure to ask your Komatsu distributor for repair.

The electric leakage sensor, voltage sensor, current sensor and temperature sensor are installed in the hybrid
devices. The fuse is installed in the capacitor (storage battery) to protect the system when overcurrent occurs.

Remedy
(Replace the sensor.)
Turn the fuel control dial to High idle
(MAX) position.
(Replace the device.)
Turn off the hybrid system stop
switch.
(Check and repair.)

Charge the capacitor by running the
engine at low idle.
(Replace the capacitor.)
Check, add coolant, repair by refer-
ring to CHECKS BEFORE START-
ING.
Change coolant, flush inside of cool-
ing system by referring to WHEN RE-
QUIRED.
Clean or repair. See EVERY 500
HOURS MAINTENANCE.
Tighten the cap or replace the pack-
ing.
Check oil level and add oil by refer-
ring to EVERY 1000 HOURS MAIN-
TENANCE.
