MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
11. Open the front right case cover (7), and insert the drain
hose (8) into the revolving frame hole (9).
12. Place a container under the drain hose (8) to catch the
coolant mixture.
13. Open the drain plug (10) inside the front right case and
drain the coolant.
(Width across flats: 17 mm, 1 place)
14. After draining the coolant, close the drain plug (10).
Tightening torque: 58.8 to 78.5 Nm{6.0 to 8.0 kgm}
15. Clean with detergent liquid.
For the cleaning method, follow the instruction for the de-
tergent liquid to use.
16. Check that the drain plugs (4) and (6) are tightened to the
specified torque, and install the undercovers (2) and (5).
17. Check that the drain plug (10) is tightened to the specified
torque, and pull out the drain hose (8) from the revolving
frame hole and put it inside the front right case.
18. Add coolant through the water filler port up to the mouth of
the port.

Coolant density table.
19. Turn the starting switch key to ON position. When the cool-
ant level lowers, add coolant again.
20. Run the engine at low idle for 10 minutes to remove the air
from the coolant.
21. When the coolant level lowers, add coolant again up to the
sight gauge (a) on the coolant filler pipe.
22. After running the engine for approximately 10 minutes,
check that the coolant level does not lower.
If the coolant level lowers, keep running the engine at low
idle until the coolant level does not lower any more. (At this
time, keep the radiator cap (1) removed.)
23. After adding coolant, tighten the radiator cap (1).

NOTICE
If the machine is used with track shoe bolts loose, they will break. If any looseness of the shoe bolt is
found, retighten it.
