Chapter 15: SNMP trap configuration using
Use Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps and notifications to allow management stations
to gather information about switch activities, alarms, and other information.
In CLI, to configure traps you configure SNMP trap notifications, create a target address to which you
want to send the notifications, and then specify target parameters.
Specify which protocols and processes generate traps by enabling traps for that protocol. For example,
to allow OSPF to generate SNMP traps, use the following command: config ip ospf trap
enable.
For information about how to configure SNMP community strings and for related topics, see Avaya
