Removal

Before the system is powered down, have the system
manager perform a system shutdown if needed.
To remove a failed or damaged I/O module:
Step Action
1 Perform the system shutdown.
2 Power down the unit.
3 Remove the top cover.
4 Remove the right panel.
5 Disconnect all I/O bulkhead
connections.
6 Remove any TURBOchannel
modules.
7 Disconnect the audio cable from
the I/O module.
8 Remove the SCSI I/O module
cables.
9 Release the two removable rivets
(top and bottom).
10 Release the tabs.
11 Remove the I/O module.
