Coral FlexiCom 6000 Installation Manual
To Insert the Power Supplies:
1. For the PS-ATS units, if not already installed, grasp its handle with one hand.
For the PPS and RPS, grasp the power supply with both hands, fingers on the
top and bottom of the power supply near the front panel, and thumbs against
the extractor levers at the top and bottom of the front panel.
2. Verify that the power supply is oriented correctly:
When installing the PS-ATS in either slot on the right side (slots PS2 and
PS3), ensure that the Fail and Power LEDs are located at the top of the
unit.
When installing the PS-ATS on the left side of the control shelf (slot PS1),
ensure that the Fail and Power LEDs are at the bottom of the unit (i.e.
install the unit upside down).
3. Align the circuit card edges with the card edge guides in the card cage or
shelf, and gently slide the power supply straight into the card slot. A slight
resistance is felt as the multi-pin connectors on the power supply meet the
mating connectors on the backplane and engage.
4. Push the power supply into its slot (for the PPS and RPS, push against the
extractor levers) until the front panel of the power supply is flush with the
front frame of the card cage. Force the power supply into the slot. If increased
resistance is encountered, remove the power supply and examine the
connectors for bent pins or interfering debris.
5. Fasten the four captive screws on each corner of the PS-ATS unit.
