The Control Shelf is divided in half to provide corresponding slots for each set of
control cards. The Control Shelf contains two sets of control cards standing side by
side. Each set has seven slots.The component cards on the right side are duplicated on
the left side in reverse and upside down order.
Figure 8-3
illustrates the front view of physical structure of the Control Shelf. Each
Control system side consists of the following slots placed in the order from the middle
outward:
32GC Control Card
Spare 1 (Unused Slot)
Spare 2 (Unused Slot)
CLA-ATS (Optional)
NOT USED
MCP-ATS
NOT USED
In addition to these cards, the Coral system includes:
4/8XMM optional expandible memory daughter card installed on the 32GC card
SAU unit which attaches to the 32GC card front panel (one for each 32GC)
Three slots are provided for Power Supply PS-ATS units, indicated in the figure as
PS1, PS2 and PS3. Power Supply alarm fuses are located in the upper left corner. The
