The PB-ATS card defines its time slot operation automatically at 128 time slots or at 512 time slots according to the type of backplane installed on the peripheral shelf unit. The Coral FlexiCom 6000 incorporates only backplanes which use all 512 time slots. Peripheral shelves from upgraded Coral FlexiCom 5000 systems, may use backplanes that accept only 128 time slots.
