When to replace the cooling fan assembly

When one or more of the four cooling fans is not turning, the remaining fans rotate faster to
maintain the same volume of air flow through the chassis. The hum of a cooling fan rotating
faster is both louder and higher in pitch than normal and indicates that the assembly must be
replaced. You cannot replace just one fan in the assembly.
