Replacing basic chassis components

Requirements

You need a Phillips (cross head) screwdriver, #1 and #2 bit.
To replace the DVD combo drive
1. Power down the server, unplug all peripheral devices and Ethernet cables, and
2. Remove the front bezel. Refer to
3. Attach the ESD strap to your wrist and attach the other end to a known grounded
4. Remove the chassis cover. Refer to
5. Pull out on the drive carrier handle (A) as shown in the following diagram.

6. Slide the DVD combo drive assembly from the chassis.
7. Remove the screw on the left side of the drive assembly and save it for installing
8. Remove the DVD combo drive from the carrier.
