Replacing basic chassis components
3. Remove the chassis cover. Refer to
4. Remove the processor air duct. Refer to
5. Locate memory banks 1A, 1B, 2A, and 2B on the server board. Refer to the following
Figure 26: Memory DIMM locations
6. Push the clips at each end of the DIMM sockets outward to the open position.
7. Remove all the DIMMs.
8. Holding each DIMM by the edges, remove it from the antistatic envelope.
9. Position the DIMM above the socket and align the small notch in the bottom edge
10. Insert the bottom edge of the DIMM into the socket.
11. Push down on the top edge of the DIMM until the retaining clips snap into place.
12. Install the other three DIMMs.
13. Replace the processor air duct.
14. Replace the chassis cover.
