5. Troubleshooting
Code 8521: "Tilt rotation not allowed" (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 8520: "Tilt rotation not allowed". The same troubleshooting table can be
applied to.
Code 8550: "Lamp runtime message exceeded" (Warning)
Situation
The lamp inside the lamp house is
about to exceed its maximum run
time.
Code 8551: "Lamp runtime warning exceeded" (Warning)
Situation
The lamp inside the lamp house is
about to exceed its maximum run
time. This is a second warning.
Code 8552: "Lamp runtime maximum exceeded" (Warning)
Situation
The lamp inside the lamp house has
exceeded its maximum run time.
Code 8553: "Lamp runtime shutdown exceeded" (Warning)
Situation
The lamp inside the lamp house has
exceeded its maximum run time.
Code 8600: "Check cooling liquid level" (Warning)
Situation
One of more DMDs have a high
temperature.
Code 8601: "Check dust filters" (Warning)
Situation
Filthy dust filter causes a too high
DMD temperature.
Code 8602: "Check airflow" (Warning)
Situation
A blocked air inlet causes a too high
Lamp House temperature.
Code 8603: "Overtemperature dimming" (Warning)
Situation
The projector has automatically
reduced the lamp power due to too
high internal temperatures.
Code 8604: "Check cooling liquid level every 6 months" (Warning)
Situation
Six months between last servicing.

Solution
Replace the lamp as soon as possible. See "Removing the xenon lamp from the lamp
house", page 123.

Check the level of the liquid cooling. Add cooling liquid if appropriate. See "Liquid
cooling circuit", page 239.

Check dust filters. Ensure that the projector air inlets are not blocked.
3.
Make sure that the ambient temperature is within specs: lower then 40°C (104°F).

Replace a filthy dust filter with a new one.

Ensure that the air inlet at the left lower front of the projector is not blocked.

Check for error/warning messages in the projector notifications to find the precise cause
of the over temperature.
