5. Troubleshooting
Code 7620: "Ambient temp high" (Warning)
Situation
Ambient temperature high.
Blocked air inlet channel.
The wire unit of the ambient
temperature sensor (NTC) is
disconnected from the Power
distribution board.
Malfunction Fan Control board.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 10 image 5-22) which
measures the temperature at the air
inlet (projector front side).

Code 7621: "Ambient temp high" (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 7620: "Ambient temp high". The same troubleshooting table can be
applied to.
Code 7622: "Ambient temp short" (Error)
Situation
Damaged wire unit of the ambient
temperature sensor (reference 10
image 5-22 and image 5-23).
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 10 image 5-22) which
measures the temperature at the air
inlet (projector front side).
Code 7623: "Ambient temp open" (Error)
Situation
The wire unit of the ambient
temperature sensor (NTC) is
disconnected from the Power
Distribution board.
Damaged wire unit of the ambient
temperature sensor (reference 10
image 5-22 and image 5-23).
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 10image 5-22) which
measures the temperature at the air
inlet (projector front side).

Solution
Reduce the ambient temperature. Make sure that the ambient temperature is within
specs: lower then 40°C (104°F).
Ensure that the air inlets are not blocked. Provide a sufficient free area at the front of the
projector so that fresh air can freely enter the air inlet channel.
Check if the wire unit (reference 10 ) of the ambient temperature sensor is connected
with the power distribution board (reference 10 image 5-23)
Replace the Fan Control Board. See "Replacing the Fan control board", page 278.
Replace the temperature sensor at the air inlet channel.
