Situation
Corrupt firmware/software.
Malfunction Motor Control Board.
Code 8105: "Vertical lens shift end of range" (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 8104: "Vertical lens shift end of range". The same troubleshooting table
can be applied to.
Code 8106: "Lens focus end of range" (Warning)
Situation
The lens focus has reached the end
of range.

Code 8108: "Lens zoom end of range" (Warning)
Situation
The lens zoom has reached the end
of range.

Situation
Wire unit disconnected.
Malfunction shutter motor.

Situation
The LED "ERROR CH2" on the
Motor Control Board lit up indicating
that there is a problem with the
vertical shift of the lens. See also

Solution
Reload the latest firmware and software version of the Motor Control Board.
Check the diagnostic LEDs of the Motor Control Board. Replace the Motor Control Board
if necessary. See "Replacing the motor control board (MCB)", page 283.

If unexpected, calibrate the lens. See installation manual of the HDF projector.
2.
Ensure if the throw ratio of the lens is suitable for the projection distance. If not,
install a suitable lens.

Check if the yellow wire unit from the shutter assembly is connected with the Motor
Control Board.
2.
Check if the yellow wire unit is connected with the shutter assembly.
Replace the shutter assembly.
Solution
Check if:
the wire unit of the stepper motor for vertical shift is connected.
the wire unit of the stepper motor for vertical shift is not damaged (causing a open
circuit or short circuit).
the stepper motor for vertical shift is not malfunctioning. If so, replace the stepper
motor. See "Replacement of the Vertical Shift stepper motor", page 234.
