The following complications can cause patient death:
• Non-thermal—Perforation, aspiration, induced hemorrhage, allergic reaction to
medication, hypertension, arrhythmia, pain and infection.
• Thermal Accute—Induced hemorrhage, ulceration, perforation, edema, pain, fever,
leukocytosis and chills.
• Thermal Chronic—Delay in healing, perforation, delayed hemorrhage and sepsis.

Contraindications for Laser Surgery

The H-30 should only be used in conditions where its use is appropriate and its efficacy
has been proven. A qualified physician should perform clinical applications.
The use of the laser is contraindicated for patients:
• Whose general medical condition contraindicates surgical intervention
• Where appropriate anesthesia is contraindicated by patient history
• Where tissue (especially tumors) is calcified
• Requiring hemostasis of vessels over approximately two millimeters in diameter
• Where laser therapy is not considered the treatment of choice
• Where any irrigant other than physiological saline is used
