Replacing the Blast Shield

The blast shield is a replaceable optical window placed between the output focusing lens
and the fiber bulkhead connector. Its purpose is to protect the output focusing lens from
any debris in the case of fiber damage.
The blast shield is located on a bracket that is inserted from the top of the output
focusing lens mount, just behind the laser aperture/fiber bulkhead connector.
Required Equipment: #2 Phillips screwdriver
Estimated Replacement Time: 2 minutes
Procedure

1. Unscrew and remove the decorative strip at the top
of the rear panel and set aside. (See screw locations
above.)

3. Pull the bayonet latch back to open/disengage.

2. Completely loosen the locking screw on the

4. Lift the top panel (tabletop) and set the holding bar
