A blinking red LED indicates the instrument is in a resident mode. This means only a core of

the firmware is active and the instrument has limited functionality. The Lab Advisor
software will be able to connect to the instrument under these circumstances. An

Status LED color
Meaning
Instrument is ready
Analysis running, do not use instrument with the exception of manual
operation of the tray. Some fields in DAD and CE diagram are shaded gray.
Not-ready condition. The run cannot be started yet. When you start, the
LED will come on after a certain time. Click the Agilent CE System status
bar in the ChemStation to see what is not ready (for example
temperature).
Error condition. There was or is currently a problem with the instrument
or communication to the PC, which requires your action or an
acknowledgement. To get more information, connect to the instrument
with the Lab Advisor or ChemStation software. Check the logbook.
