WAN Port Type set up

For most users, Internet access is the primary application. The SN100 supports the WAN interface for Internet
access and remote access.
The following sections explain details of WAN Port Internet access and broadband access setup:
1. Click the WAN Access Type drop-down menu, then select from the following options:
– Static IP (Fixed IP User): If you are a leased line user with a fixed IP address, fill out the following items
with the information provided by your ISP:
IP Address: check with your ISP provider
Subnet Mask: check with your ISP provider
Default Gateway: check with your ISP provider
– Dynamic IP (DHCP Client): Obtain WAN IP address automatically
– PPPoE (ADSL Dial-Up User): Some ISPs provide DSL-based service and use PPPoE to establish com-
munication links with end-users. If you are connected to the Internet through a DSL line, check with
your ISP to see if they use PPPoE. If they do, you need to select this option.
