Following is a suggested configuration when using five leadwires:

Right arm and left arm electrodes should be placed just below the right and left
clavicle.
Right leg and left leg electrodes should be placed on a non-muscular surface
on the lower edge of the rib cage.
The chest electrode should be placed according to the physician's preference.
