Description
Three-pole external autoreclose cycle in progress: If it is
assigned to an opto input in the PSL and energised, the
DDB:'A/R 3P in Prog' will inform the P44x about the
presence of an external 3P cycle. The data is useful in
the case of an evolving fault.
Circuit Breaker closing order from external autoreclose:
If it is assigned to an opto input in the PSL and
energised, the DDB:'A/R Close' can be linked with the
internal check synchronism condition to verify the
external CB close command.
External (opto input) autorecloser in progress: the DDB:'I
A/R Reclaim' signal will inform the protection that an
external reclaim time is in progress and will initiate the
internal TOR logic (it is possible to create a dedicated
PSL which would make it possible to use this information
extension in Zone 1 extension schemes).
Block internal autoreclose: Block Autoreclose (via an
opto input or in the PSL).
The DDB:'BAR' input will block the autoreclosure and
lockout the autoreclose if a cycle is in progress. If a
single-pole cycle is in progress a three-pole trip will be
issued and the autorecloser will lock out. It can be used
when protection operation is required without
autoreclose. A typical example is for a transformer
feeder, where autoreclosing may be initiated by the
feeder's protection relay but blocked by the
transformer's protection relay. Similarly, where a circuit
breaker low gas pressure or loss of vacuum alarm
occurs during the dead time, autoreclosure should be
blocked – and BAR can be used to perform this blocking
logic.
Autorisation signal from external check Synchroniser
(via opto input, with a dedicated PSL) for reclosing with
internal autoreclose (indicates that Check Sync
conditions are met by an external device – The DDB cell
should be assigned afterwards an internal AR logic),
If an opto input is assigned in the PSL, the autoreclose
close command will be verified by an external check
synchronism device. The input is energised when the
Check Sync conditions are met.
Circuit breaker operational (gas pressure, mechanical
state)
Must be at 1 inside the time window (setting: group1/
Autoreclose mode/ AR Inhibit Wind) during an AR cycle
('A/R close' and 'A/R Reclaim' pick up when 'CB healthy'
is detected during the 'A/R Inhibit Wind' time-delay')
Block all protection functions

Three pole tripping only: If it is assigned to an opto input
in the PSL and energised, the DDB:'Force 3P Trip'
signal will force the internal single-phase protection to
trip three-poles (external order from Main1 to Main2
(P44x)) – the next trip will be three-pole.
