To switch the active calipers
Some measurements use two calipers. Only one caliper can be repositioned at a time. Use this procedure to
toggle between the two calipers. The active caliper is highlighted.
Do one of the following:
To switch the active caliper within a set, press the SELECT key.
To switch the active set when measuring outside a calculation, select Switch on-screen.
To delete or edit a measurement
With the measurement active (highlighted), do one of the following:
Select Delete on-screen.
Use the touchpad to reposition one or more of the calipers.
To place calipers more precisely
Do any of the following:
Adjust the display for maximum sharpness.
Use leading edges (closest to the transducer) or borders for starting and stopping points.
Maintain a consistent transducer orientation for each type of measurement.
Make sure that the area of interest fills as much of the screen as possible.
(2D) Minimize the depth, or zoom.

Saving measurements

After performing a measurement, you can save the image with the measurements displayed. See

on page 4-29. Some measurements can be saved to a calculation and the patient report.
If you prefer to select a measurement name before performing a measurement, start a calculation. See
"General Calculations"
To save a measurement to a calculation and patient report
1 With the measurement active (highlighted), select CALCS.
