[8] ADJUSTMENTS
1. Developing section
(1) Developing doctor clearance adjustment

Disassembly the section until as shown in the figure.

Loosen fixing screws A of the DV doctor. (2 pcs. in the rear frame,
2 pcs.in the front frame)
Insert a 0.50mm clearance gauge between 50mm ∼ 80mm from

the DV doctor edge.

Press the DV doctor in the arrow direction, and tighten the fixing
screw of the DV doctor. (Tighten in the front and the rear sides.)

Check that there is a clearance of 0.55
DV doctor edge and at 80mm from the other edge.
@ Note: When inserting the clearance gauge, be careful not to
scratch the DV doctor and the MG roller.
(2) Developing magnet roller main pole position
adjustment

Disassemble the section until as shown in the figure.

Tie a thread to a needle or a pin.

Hold the thread, and bring the needle near the MG roller. (Since
the MG roller diameter is so small that a clip cannot be used for
precise positioning.)

Mark the contact point of the needle on the MG roller surface with
a marking pen.

Measure the distance between the marked position and the sur-
face on which the developing unit is placed. Check that the dis-
tance is 17.0 ± 0.2mm.
If the distance is not the specified value, loosen the fixing screw of
the main pole adjustment plate, and move the adjustment plate in
the arrow direction to adjust.
