Context
config>router>if>dhcp>option
Description
This command copies the DHCP Option 82 into Option 43 (vendor-specific) on the DHCP offer
destined for the DHCP client. This command is used in conjunction with the Auto-Discovery Protocol
to allow the Auto-Discovery client node to learn about its network uplink.
The no form of this command returns the system to the default.

Description
When enabled, the router sends the MAC address of the remote end (typically, the DHCP client) in the
remote-id suboption of the DHCP packet. This command identifies the host at the other end of the
circuit. If disabled, the remote-id suboption of the DHCP packet will be left empty.
The no form of this command returns the system to the default.

mac — specifies the MAC address of the remote end is encoded in the suboption
string — specifies the remote ID

Description
This command specifies a list of servers where requests will be forwarded. The list of servers can be
entered as either IP addresses or fully qualified domain names. There must be at least one server
specified for DHCP Relay to work. If there are multiple servers specified, then the request is forwarded
to all of the servers in the list. There can be a maximum of eight DHCP servers configured.
