This section describes the controls, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), connectors on the
front and rear of the server, and how to turn the server on and off.
Note: The illustrations in this document might differ slightly from your server.

Front view

This topic provides an illustration that shows the controls, LEDs, and connectors
on the front of the server.
The following illustration shows the controls, LEDs, and connectors on the front of
the server. The DVD drive is optional in some models.
DVD-eject
button
Electrostatic-discharge connector: Connect a electrostatic-discharge wrist strap to
this connector when you work with static-sensitive devices.
DVD-eject button: Press this button to release a CD or DVD from the DVD drive.
DVD drive activity LED: When this LED is lit, it indicates that the DVD drive is
in use.
USB 1 and 2 connectors: Connect USB devices to these connectors.
Scalability LED: This white LED is lit when the server is connected to another
server in a multi-node configuration.
