Configuring clock reference selection

Enable automatic clock reference selection or manually select a clock reference.
When you specify the clock reference manually in an MDC environment, follow these restrictions and
guidelines:
If you are specifying a line clock as the reference, you must perform the task on the MDC that
contains the line clock input port.
If the MDC is not the default MDC, you must perform the task in
specified on a non-default
To configure the clock reference selection mode:
Step

(Optional.) Verify that
the clock source you
want to select is in
Normal state.

Enter system view.

Enable automatic
reference selection or
manually select a
reference.
4.
(Optional.) Verify that
the configuration is
effective.

Setting the Sa bit for the SSM of BITS clocks

Sa bits from Sa4 through Sa8 can be used to transmit the SSM quality level of BITS timing signal. You
must select one Sa bit as required by the network.
