Specifying the system time source as PTP

Make sure you use the clock protocol command to specify the time protocol as PTP. For more information
about the clock protocol command, see Fundamentals Command Reference.
To specify the system time source as PTP:
Step
1.
Enter system view.
2.
Specify the system time source
as PTP.

Enabling PTP on a port

A port enabled with PTP becomes a PTP port.
An OC can have only one PTP port.
To enable PTP on a port:
Step
1.
Enter system view.
2.
Enter Layer 3 Ethernet
interface view.
3.
Enable PTP on the port.

Displaying and maintaining PTP

Execute display commands in any view and the reset command in user view.
Task
Display PTP clock information.
Display the delay correction history.
Display information about foreign master nodes.
Display PTP information on an interface.
Display parent node information for the PTP device.
